About us

The Balm of Gilead Ministries was birthed from God the Father’s heart through His servant, yet also beloved child, Marie Allan.

For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,  so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” Romans 12:3-5

As the Scriptures also teach in Romans 5:3-5:

“And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope.  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Any birthing process is long, laboursome and painful and this ministry was no different. God trained Marie and tested her obedience first through a journey of her own pain and the pain of her family – spiritually, emotionally and physically.  Her training camp was in that of healing, deliverance, a walk towards wholeness and continuous sanctification. As the Scriptures teach concerning the Christ: “…though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”  Hebrews 5:8

It was in that production of hope that He gave her the unction, by His Spirit pouring His love into her heart to be a minister of reconciliation (2 Cor 5).  It is her calling to play her part in edifying the Body of Christ through sanctification of the hearts of Yahweh’s people.  It is her heart’s desire to have people reconciled back to the Father and to see His people healed, set free, delivered, whole and without spots, wrinkles and marks – through the application of the Heavenly Balm, by the power of His Spirit.

As the Scriptures teach: Eph 5:27: “So that [in turn] He might present the church to Himself in glorious splendour, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy [set apart for God] and blameless.” Marie is married to Bill and they have two beautiful daughters, Jessica and Vanna, who have both loved and served Yahweh.

To edify and admonish the Body of Christ in conjunction with the five-fold ministry to the Glory of God: Through knowing, relationship and intimacy with the Heavenly Balm (Jeremiah 24:7). Examining and recognising sickness – spiritually, emotionally and physically. (Luke 5:30-32, 1 Corinthians 11:28-31, 2 Samuel 12:1-15). To bring living and healing waters into the lives of both believers and non-believers. To heal the brokenhearted and bring life where death is at work by the power of the Holy Spirit.    (Luke 4:18, John 7:38, Revelation 22:1-2, John 10:10). To apply the Heavenly Balm for deliverance and healing for the nations – to bring restoration and sanctification. (Revelation 22:1-2, Luke 4:18, Acts 8:22. To restore repentance to the Body of Christ as an act of worship. (Isaiah 30:15, Matthew 4:17, Acts 8:22, Acts 2:38, Luke 3:8-9, ). To assist in equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12). To exhort the Body of Christ to understand the functions and roles of the different parts of the Body in the Church. (1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12:3-8, Colossians 1:24).  To assist in preparing the Bride of Christ as a warrior Bride – one ready for her King – without spot, without blemish, without wrinkle (Ephesians 5:27).

“And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” Revelation 22:1-2

Statement of Faith

We believe in ONE God eternally existent in three Persons  – comprised of Father, Son (the Living Word) and Holy Spirit and that He is the Creator of all things (I John 5:7). (1 John 5:7 KJV) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are One.

We believe that God exists, and that He’s closer, more magnificent and grander than we realise. We believe that God created man in His own image (body, soul and spirit); that man sinned and in so doing incurred the punishment of sin which is death physically and spiritually; that all human beings inherit a sinful nature.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ put aside His glory and took on the form of man. As the only begotten Son of God, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary and He lived a pure and sinless life; He then was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father, and is true God and true man (Matthew 1:20-21, John 3:16, Acts 4:10, 1 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 10:12).

We believe that through His death (a substitutionary sacrifice) on the cross and His resurrection from the grave, that all who believe in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood; consequently, we can be looked upon as children of the Most High God – if we accept His atoning sacrifice. We believe that He, in this present life, is our High Priest and Advocate.
