EnvyRotten Bones

“A sound heart is life to the body,
But envy is rottenness to the bones.”
Proverbs 14:30

What has become a deeply understood, known and experiential thing to me is this:

“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” – Jesus Christ. (Matthew 9).

In some ministries, people are on waiting lists for months to get help and ministered to since the laborers are so few. Yet, one of the most heart breaking things that I have been dreaming about lately, is this:  The laborers in the kingdom are at times envious, jealous or threatened by one another’s ministries and the enemy seem to cause God’s people to waste our time on such things.  We have all done this if we are truthful.

As God’s workers, we all have the same audience of the lost, the broken, the backslidden and those already in the fold.  Beloved, there are over 7 billion people on the earth! Surely feeling threatened by another person’s ministry is completely in vain…even if we all had to work 24-hours a day non-stop to do the work of our Father, there will be plenty for all and more!

Everything the Father has given each person to fulfill their purpose, is done by HIM, for HIM, through HIM. Spiritually, emotionally, even the way you look, your skin-colour-tone (yes!), your voice, your personality is for a certain ‘audience’ that will give you the in-road into people’s lives to glorify the name of the Father and to reconcile them back to Him.

Beloved, it may be time for you to assess those who consistently have a negative influence on what God wants to do in and through you – you may not be their chosen messenger or labourer but you are HIS and that may mean you will have to let go of those hindering the work of the Father… time is too short.
